Guidelines

Open Enrollment & Registration
The Hickory Grove Academy of Music & Arts is open to children and adults. An enrollment fee of $40 (per year) or $20 (spring signups) should be made payable to Hickory Grove Baptist Church at the beginning of each semester and sent in with each enrollment form. Students can enroll at any time during the semester, however, if there are no available lesson times, the student will be placed on a waiting list. This fee is non-refundable unless a student cannot be placed in the program and chooses not to remain on the waiting list. Instruction will not begin until the enrollment form and fee are submitted.

Tuition
Tuition is due to the Instructor at the first lesson of each month and is payable for the entire month.*** If the tuition is not paid by the second lesson, the lessons will be discontinued until payment has been made to the Instructor, plus a $10 late fee. Please be considerate and pay your Instructor on time. Tuition will be prorated or credited for school closing or field trips, in the event a make-up lesson is not available by the Instructor. Tuition can be given to Instructor by the following means:

1) Student taking payment to the first lesson,

2) Parent/Guardian taking payment to main School Office for placement in the Music Academy mailbox or,

3) Mailing payment to the Instructor prior to first lesson.
*Note, there will be a $20 fee on all returned checks.

Attendance & Make Up Lessons

Students should be committed to each semester in which they are enrolled. A 30-day notice is required to drop lessons during a semester and the Instructor will be paid for the remaining lessons. It is the student’s or guardian’s responsibility to contact the Instructor if a lesson is to be missed. Please provide a 24-hour notice when possible. Contact the Instructor directly at a number provided to the student by the Instructor. A make-up lesson, for a student’s excused absence (including illness, emergency, or a death in the family), is available only one time per semester. The date should be set with the Instructor. If the Instructor cancels a private or semi-private lesson due to a personal illness or emergency, there will be a credit or make-up lesson provided by the Instructor.
