MHDL

Hope obtained her B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and her MHDL from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Since 1983 she has taught grades 7-12 in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System, teaching home Economics, general science and also serving as a guidance/career counselor. Hope counsels one on one with parents and their children (over the age of 8). Her extended experience includes co-facilitating a delinquent adolescent group; an adult substance abuse group; and an adolescent group home. She has counseled with ADD/ADHD children and encourages parents to work a family plan to improve the overall home life. She has been a volunteer at the following: Adolescent Cottage; Juvenile Court; Randolph Clinic; Transition House; Children's Law Center - Court Appointed Special Advocate.
