Rev. Tommy Lunceford is the Pastor of Recreation at HGBC Main Campus. He joined the staff of Hickory Grove in January of 1996. Before coming to North Carolina, Tommy was on staff in churches in Tennessee and Texas. He has served as a Minister of Recreation for almost 22 years.
Tommy received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Baylor University. He also graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Education Degree.
Tommy has been married to Karee Keathley Lunceford for 26 years. He has two college-age children, Lauren and Luke. Lauren graduated from Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School and is now a junior at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. Luke also graduated from Hickory Grove Baptist Christian School and is a freshman at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina.
In addition to spending time with family, Tommy enjoys a wide range of sports, including jogging, biking, skiing, and a little golf. Tommy’s passion is to see how God changes people’s lives…especially using sports as the vehicle of that change. God has continued to be faithful and gracious to use Tommy’s talents and interests to reach others for Christ.
